Blueberry Time

This is one of our favorite times of year. Why, you ask?

Granny's blueberries are ripe!

Last year, I made the mistake of leaving a gallon bag of freshly picked ripe berries on my kitchen counter. I went about my chores and when I returned to the kitchen, all but ten berries were gone!

Both boys complained of belly aches that night.

I think the unripe ones are pretty, but you would not need to eat a gallon of these to get a belly ache.

These are not the BB-sized blueberries you see at the supermarket. Granny's blueberries are nickel-sized and sweet! I think I've had about a quart today. 

Let's not talk about belly aches.
