Two months ago, Gabe lost his first tooth. . . or rather he yanked the thing out while sitting in front of my full length mirror. There was a little blood involved in that first loss and I think it made him fear the second.
He decided not to force the second tooth. He wiggled it very gently now and then, but mostly left it alone. This went on for about a month until last week when his tooth was so loose it was annoying him. I asked him if I could wiggle it and he consented. I barely got my fingers on it and the tooth popped into my hand.
Gabe spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom examining his new smile.
