Digging Out

We're digging out.

Out of this long winter. Out of a string of home-bound boy weekends. Out of a writing slump. 

 

 

It's been almost a year since I last posted. And while the posts here have been scarce, with the exception of the last month, the adventures and day trips have not.

A year has made a big difference in the boys' level of participation. They help with destination ideas, planning, packing, menu-making and even navigation. It takes some of the burden off me, but comes with a small hitch - they also have definite opinions on where and what we do.

Luckily, we learned the term "oligarchy" this fall, courtesy of sixth grade social studies.

So, here's to high hopes: that spring will finally arrive, that day trips will commence and posts  regularly be written.
